It's deposited on the tummy, upper thighs, waist, and sides of the buttocks. I don't know any remedy other than to watch your diet and do cardio, drink enough water and get enough sleep.

The whole Cortisol thing is a fear-based scam to sell diet pills. They just keep changing the name of the pills when they get prosecuted:

QUOTE: The FTC alleges that the defendants promoted cortisol control as "the answer" for anyone who wants to lose weight, especially abdominal weight. According to the FTC's complaint, the defendants' broadcast ads, print ads, and Web sites claimed that persistently elevated levels of cortisol, the "stress hormone," are the underlying cause of weight gain and weight retention and also claimed that CortiSlim effectively reduces and controls cortisol levels and thereby causes substantial weight loss.

I only know what recent studies have shown---that increased levels of cortisol, one of the stress hormones, can cause weight gain in many people.
Destressing helps, as does getting a minimum of 8 hours of sleep per night, to lower cortisol levels. I don't know if there are any dietary things to do; mainly it's lifestyle things, such as getting enough sleep, exercising (which lowers cortisol and increases the "feel good" hormones), and avoiding undue stress at work over the long-term.

Cortisol related fat is deposited in the abdomen and hip area. You need to reduce stress to reduce cortisol. I suggest brisk walking every day. Walking reduces stress, burns fat, and can help you have better sleep at night.
