Protein is essential for growth and development of bones and muscles. Try getting some protein powder. Muscle Milk is one brand, but there are many others. It's a high quality protein that comes in many flavors and can be made into a milk shake, sprinkled over ice cream, mixed with cereal, and fruit. You can find these at any good health food store. If she chooses not to eat meat, fine, but you are the Mom and need to make sure she gets the necessary protein in some way to grow up healthy.

She is getting some protein, though not enough, from the dairy products (yogurt, ice cream).
However, by not eating meat, not only is she not getting enough protein, but missing out on important B vitamins and minerals such as iron. No doctor or nutritionist would ever recommend a child to be a vegetarian.
If theis 10 year old is serious, then her parents must tell her that if she insists on this type of diet, she must go to a doctor or nutritionist to carefully plan for her. Likely, she will find that such a carefully planned diet is a lot more trouble than just having some meat a couple times a week.

All foods have some protein so it's impossible not to eat ANY at all. Pasta is a good source but switch her to whole wheat pasta. It's healthier and does not taste any different. Yogurt is a great source as well but the kids ones are loaded with artificial junk. Switch to an all natural blended yogurt.

water Mellon and ice cream contain some protein, but at the very least she will have a compromised immune system and be open for any disease. She might just waste away.

The things you mentioned does contain protein. If you are talking about "rich protein diet", what exactly you are aiming at. It seems he is already taking a nutitious diet.
