If the people who ran the country you lived in said that you had to either abandon your religion, leave the country, or be put to death, what would be your choice?

If you are going to answer this, then please choose one of the above options; I'm not interested in your rantings.

hm, does that mean that i wouldnt have to get up on sunday morning to give a minimum amount of lip service and some change? I think that i would be glad that the people who ran my country are forward thinking enough to know that religion is bad, and a secular viewpoint is what this world needs.

That's a no-brainer. Leave the country, of course. Why would I ever abandon my religion, or be put to death? Maybe, I'm not understanding the question. I don't know how anyone could answer any other way.

Now if you mean recant my religion or be put to death, I hope and pray that I would have the courage to be put to death. I would not want to live if I ever abandoned my religion. It is my life--the reason I am alive, my reason for living.

My country is Planet Earth. I'm a World Citizen. I don't recognize borders.

Rant, rant, rant.

Funny you should ask this question in this way... because according to Gods word when the anti-christ takes his place in world politics people will be faced with the choice to renounce their faith in God and to worship him or face death for not choosing to worship him.... myself... if i am still here when this occurs will choose death.... because to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.... I will not be ashamed of him.... and I will not turn from him.
Sorry if that sounded like a "rant" as some describe it.... but its an honest answer worded the only way I know how.

First, I'm not religious, I'm a Christian.
That said, I'd probably leave the country. I would die if I had to, but I think I'd try leaving the country first.

if it's a false religion, I would abandon it and turn to Jesus Christ the true God and Savior. If the U.S. said renounce Jesus Christ or else, I would probably leave the country.

Just so you know, the Book of Revelation (last prophecy book of the Bible) has already prophecies this. The antichrist (he will appear to be a man of peace at first) will form a one world gov't and religion. He will ban all other religions except he will form a peace agreement/covenant w/ Israel. The first 3.5 yrs of his reign, he will uphold the agreement. Then the antichrist will double cross the Jews and all peoples. He will require every inhabitant of the earth to worship him & his image.

I guess I would leave the good ol' U.S.A. and be very sorry that I supported and defended (served 6 years) a country that would go against one of the cornerstones of its founding. The freedom of religion. Of course, I would put up one serious fight about religion being outlawed.

Leave the country.

I have no qualms about where I live. I will not, under any circumstances, abandon my faith. If I have the option to live with my faith elsewhere, or die, then it's easy enough to live elsewhere (as long as my passage out of the country is paid for, and if not, I'd just as happily die because of my faith in Christ).

sometimes leaving the country may not be that easy, in that case abandoning the religion publicly and practicing it privately maybe an option.

In Vedic Scripture, the society is divided into 4 class according to ones qualities and activity and different kinds of Injection are there to each.. The 4 divisions are - Priestly class, Administrative /warrior class, Business Class, Worker Class...

In a condition that you have mentioned,
The priestly class must voice there rebel against such a condition. They must encourage the warrior class to fight against this injustice and overthrow the government. And then establish government based on proper principles as given by God himself. They cannot engage in fighting themselves and if they find that they are not successful they should leave the country.. They must not however worry about their own life but keep executing service to God even till death.
For worrier class, they have to device all kinds of ways to overthrow such the government and establish one based on religion. They are allowed to escape the country if required but with the only intent to fight back with more power. If they die this way they reach heaven ..
For Business class people, they should stop supporting the government and should leave the country as advised by the priestly class of People.
For Worker Class of People they should act in accordance as their Religious leaders advice them to.
