i have this family stay next to me and i don't like them. i often see their father pray to the plants outside their door. is he mad? i don't like it because i feel he is exaggerating.

i attended church when i was young and i personally think some are over doing things are which not necessary. i hate hypocrite.

can i also attend church if i hate someone from that church? i am human, not jesus. say, for example, if i dislike someone in the church, i know it is not right to hit someone in the church but that doesn't mean i do not have the desire to do so. will you be oblige to like that person you hate because of religion? so many things around us are contradicting us. what do you think?

how can i help myself with all these problems?

I doubt he is praying TO the plants. He probably just likes being near the beauty of the plants when he prays to God. Yes, it is weird but whateve floots your boat. Yes it is exaggerated as well and more then that it is showing off. This is one thing I get irritated about at church too, people trying to out spiritual each other. It is hipocracy. That said, remember it is the people who are the idiots not God. I can honestly say that I don't like religion either and I sure can't stand people who think there so wonderful and spiritual but are so judgemental and think it is more important to tell people they are wrong then to simply love people. I am 27 and spent 2 years studying Theology in College and I still really don't like church but I love God and I jsut try not to worry about the idiots because I know better and it is too bad for them that they don't.

hate is not a good thing. it does nothing but hurt you. I have been there. you are right you are human and at least you admit you know these feelings are wrong. just pray that God will help you with your feelings. remember that everyone is different and its what is in your heart that God sees. I always have to stop and think about my own sins and how even if in my mind I can justify that they sure don't seem as extreme as anothers they are still that--sin. let he who is without sin cast the first stone. I know it is hard but asking God to guide you and admitting your struggles is the way to go.
