Girl...BE YOURSELF!!!!!!!!! If you'd normally order a cheesburger, then order a cheeseburger. If you order a salad and then he sees you later at Mc Donalds he'll know you're a fraud and what else will you decieve him about!? Be who you are! If he doesn't like it, he's not for you!

Order what you want. I wouldn't order the most expensive items but I would order some thing that I wanted. I have been out and seen girl's eat like they have not eaten in a week. I dought they got asked out again. And it also has to do with how much a guy can afford, so the first date defiantly go modestly. You sound like you already have it going on. Good luck! Even though I think you will be fine.

What you order depends on where you are going. A good rule is to not order what is the most expensive, but not order anything really super cheap, either. I also avoid messy foods like spaghetti, or things that will leave my breath smelling funky just in case I'm making plans for an evening kiss.
When all else fails, I try to find out what he is ordering so I can get a better idea on price range and such.

It depends on who you are dating. Is he wealthy? Poor?
Are you greedy?
I would say order something you know you will enjoy. If you have a doubt in your mind about the expense, then ask your date if it's okay before ordering. That's the most polite thing to do.

Whenever somebody else is paying for the food I still order what I would order if I was paying it myself. I think it's good to respect the other person's budget and not be greedy. And besides, what impression do you want him to get of you on your first date? Do you want him to see you as greedy or modest?

I would say anything you wanted. Your date shouldn't take you somewhere he can't afford. He doesn't know what you'll order whether it be the cheapest or most expensive, so he is prepared for the bill.
Etiqutte says you go with the middle. Dont pick the salad because its the cheapest (unless you really want it), but maybe something mid-range on the price and that sounds appetizing.

Depends on how the date's going... do you really like him or never plan on seeing him again? If you don't then I say order the most expensive thing on the menu and enjoy it. If you really like him then I wouldn't suggest it, he will think you are greedy and too expensive to maintain as a potential gf.

Order something in the middle. Not the lobster and not the chicken nuggets :) Go with a dish that's inbetween in terms of price and its level of sophistication. Also, don't get anything that's difficult or messy to eat. And stear clear of smelly stuff and gassy stuff like onions, brocolli or asparagus. It's just not the first impression you want to make.
Oh, and put some mints and one of those travel toothbrushes (and a little toothpaste) in your handbag.

Eat what you would normally eat. Or you can try going to a chinese restuarant, most of them do an all you can eat buffet, that way the both of you can eat as much as you want without breaking the bank!! And he won't think your being greedy. Also not a good idea to eat anything that may get you messy!!

Try and find a middle ground. Don't order the most expensive thing or the least expensive thing. My suggestion is to get a small cut of chicken or fish. Keep it relatively simple. Most importantly, focus on HIM, not on the prices!!
Good luck!

Order something relatively cheap so he doesn't think you're trying to rip him off at the first moment you get. You know...men use this line to test if the girl's a golddigger or not! Beware!
Also, try odering something you've already tried before. That way you avoid any "hot" and nasty surprises! Haha!
Last but not least...order something light. Something that wont weigh you down. Try anything but a salad...he'll think you're on a health plan or something! Aaah, avoid odering "messy" food e.g spaghetti, crab meat, soup, etc. I don't think I have to explain why!!
Overall...enjoy your first date!
