We see this happening in schools all the time and in day to day lives - teaching kids to share. If everyone shared, practiced what they preached, the world will not have starvation and poverty. Don't you think?

I know America helps many countries. That is as a government. Many organizations - charities also help nations. I think that is only 30% of the whole pie. People like Bill Gates and Warren Buffet are doing their part. In America itself, there is poverty. There are so many people suffering, even kids. I know there are selfless people helping out. These people don't preach. They just do good deeds. The remaining 65% are still living their lives. A car for example has $2000 worth of RIMS high fashioned. People indulge in high end consumerism, is that all necessary? People go to buffets all the time, not worrying about their society - children who might be starving. This has to change is what I meant.

Adults are in many was unlogical and weird. The world would be a better place if they practiced what they preach. Not just about sharing but about other things too, like loving, being polite, helping etc.

It's the same mentality that many parents have--Do as I say, not as I do. This also applies to parents who smoke, yet ground their childrend indefinitely or beat them when they find out their teenage child is smoking. Or parents who tell their children not to speed, yet they have two or three speeding tickets on their record.

People, in general, are selfish and hypocritical. We teach our children ways we think we should live, but don't, in hopes that when they grow up they'll be the difference we want to be.

It's always do as I say not as I do. The cycle will never end if this is what most parents teach their kids.

You sound a little cynical. America is always there when someone needs help. Have you forgotten Katrina?
