It would have to be a tie between chihuahuas and pugs. We have both and both breeds are awsome. Pugs are the goofy clowns of the dog world with a silly affectionate nature. Who can resist that mug and the snoring and snorting that goes with it?! Chihuahuas are totally loyal and become such close members of the family that you just know they are living for the next petting session or cuddle form you, noone else. No other dog can give only YOU the total devotion that a chi can!

My favorite breeds are among the livestock protection dogs of which I have three dogs of the same breed. I love their calm mellowness and bold confidence. Even the puppies don't go bouncing off the walls nor easily overstimulated since they need to be patient and tolerant around their charges. I love their independence, and their size works fine for me. I usually give mine Turkish names.

I love mixed dogs because they tend to be uniquely adorable, extra smart and healthy! But if I had to choose a breed (or two or five), I'd say Corgis, Border Collies, Labradors, Shiba Inus and Huskies!
