Target is a specification of what actually is defined in the most practical way possible
objective is a generalization of the target on the whole
ex: being a sucessful person in life would be an objective
and how to become sucessful would be the target like working in NASA or being a leading enterpreneur.

Depends on the context. A target can be a single person sitting in the sites of your gun, while the objective would be to take them all out. A target market is a whole group of potential buyers, an objective is to sell to as many of them as you can... etc.
