There do have Tylenol for infants for cold and such, which i would say is the best. But I would call your nearest pharmacy (Walgreen's or grocery) and ask there, just to be on the safe side. not all baby's can handle the baby medicines out there.
Hope he feels beter

The time that you feel for them the most is in the night. their sleep is distrubed because they are blocked up and can't breathe properly.
My advice here is to put a bottle steam sterilizer in his room. The hot steam helps open his airways to help him breathe easier. These work better than kettles as they steam for about 15 minutes.
You can also get karvol capsules that you could put on his pillow before he goes to bed.
He could also have a bath in the bubble bath that Johnsons do which have some kind of breathe easy stuff in or a chest rub.
I have given lots of ideas & I hope you have some success.
I have always done the above with my kids.
Good luck.

Plenty of fluids. You can try a humidifier to thin secretions. He will want plenty of love and affection. If he has a fever you can give him Tylenol. Don't use aspirin due to Reyes syndrome.
If he gets real cranky call the doctor, better safe than sorry.

maximum hospitals oftentimes provide room temp. bottles even as there in the well being center after beginning. they received't take a chilly bottle...fairly no matter if that's chilly as in only got here out of the refrigerator chilly. i'd not provide a newborn something chilly because of body temp. themes, yet a 7 week old must be fantastic.

You can get baby Calpol at most chemists. It has a mild paracetamol in it. Keeping him wrapped up will help as well.
