Excellent point.
The same actually applies to many other species - orangutans and dolphins have also been observed by Zoologists to engage in homosexual behaviour.
And Bonobos in particular engage in non-reproductive erotic activity of many kinds including mutual masturbation, self masturbation and oral sex. In both behavior and genetics they are truly our closest relatives (I wonder how many creationists even know what a Bonobo is).
One small correction though - Bonobos are not a subspecies of chimp. They are of the same genus but different species.
Bonobos are Pan paniscus, and Chimpanzees are Pan troglodytes. They are sort of equivalent to humans and neanderthals (Homo sapiens and Homo neanderthalensis).

Your questions has been argued for many years now...some defenders of homosexuality argue that the practice must be considered normal since, as they say, it is even found in the animal world. Male monkeys, for instance, have been observed mounting other male monkeys. Of course, just because animals may engage in a certain practice does not mean that humans should use that as an excuse to imitate or “ape” them, does it? Although there are many humans who display animalistic behavior...most likely behaving like an animal is looked down upon. Animals also eat their young but should we think God wants us to to the same??? Now...does the abundance of gathered evidence really indicate that animals are homosexual? No. The 1974 edition of the Encyclopædia Britannica says: “This great mass of data, however, cannot answer the question whether any of these animals is a homosexual. No adult animals other than human beings are known to prefer orgasmic intercourse regularly with their own sex.”

After the whole Adam and Eve thing, and sin entered the world a lot of bad things entered along with it affecting everything! This is not a fact, but maybe that was just a piece of it, you know? That bisexual-thing entered and got the best of the Bonobos. It's weird sounding I know, but really when sin entered the world, it entered BIG TIME and has increased enormously ever since. You also have to remember they're animals...not humans. That's just my theory, but it's a good question you have here.

This is a firm belief in Christianity, so it is going to be difficult to change views.....It is solidly established in Jewish law that homosexuality is an "abomination."
And actually, I am hopeful that my husband is not next door trying to bring peace to the neighbor guy by.....performing favors.

God cannot control the actions of his creations.
Humans are a perfect example of this.
