Yeah, english is one. Out of all the languages, english is spoken in the most countries (due in part to the british colonizing everything under the sun). International business is conducted in english, 8 of the top 10 universities in the world are in america (and I bet one of the 2 remaining is oxford in england). When traveling to a foreign country, the common language is most often english.

Simply put, english is the most useful language to know, and it will remain that way for some time.

English will be one. Spanish another. Chinese next.

But I believe that we will have strong regional inflexions and dialects, quite similar to the current languages...

no come on be real we know how to decipher hieroglyphics that are 4000 years old from a stone know a days we have millions of books and computers someone will know it what do you think one day someone is like lets not speak french anymore
