First I recommend coming to Canada in the spring. Do not come to Canada for the first time in the winter months. It will be very difficult for you in winter for you to get settled. I suggest to travel in mid to end of April. Then depending on what you are qualified for regarding your job. Look into this before coming to Canada. Now remember this. It will take around one year and a half to get your legal papers to become Canadian, if you get approved. So it does take a long time. Don't think it is that easy. Unless you find a Canadian woman and get married, LoL. Then it takes a year after the marriage to get ur Canadian Citizenship.

First of all, the immigration process takes time. You are looking at a minimum of a year, and likely much longer.

The Canadian Immigration website has all the information, forms and instructions that you need, read through it all thoroughly.

Immigrating as a skilled worker is one option, It will be easiest and fastest if you already have a job in Canada lined up AND the employer will sponser you and file the neccessary paperwork on their part.

If you have family members in Canada, then they can sponsor you as part of family class. They will have to show that they can provide financial support to you for up to 10 years.

Contrary to what others have said, marrying a Canadian does not automatically bring you in. While there are new rules where a spouse can live in Canada on a visitor Visa while the immigration papers are being processed, you can not work while in Canada on such a Visa, nor can you appeal the decision made. Also, you still need to go through the entire immigration process, subject to all the same rules, including sponsorship by your spouse. You will also have to be able to prove the marriage is not for immigration purposes.

Be prepared for the expenses of immigration, for one person, it will cost you $1200-1500, including all the various fees, medical exam, and other paperwork you have to get. It might be a bit less, but if you figure on the above you won't fall short.

Pichi has it right. If you are dying to get into Canada sooner, you could always get accepted to a university and get a student visa. You can't work under that kind of visa, but you can live and study in Canada. While you do that, you can work on your Permanent Residence visa, whichever option you choose.
