First of all God id the father, Jesus is the Son and then the Holy Spirit. This is called the Trinity. There is the corect order.
The only thing Mary ever did, and it was because chose her, was to give birth to Jesus the complete sacraficial lamb of God. the only way to get to heaven. John 14:6 "Jesus saith, I am the way, the truth and the life and NO MAN COMETH UNTO THE FATHER BUT BY ME." That sums it up, no questions.
Only God knows who is closest to him, for we are not able to see the hearts of his children. Are you a Child of God? Have you accepted the Jesus as your personal saviour? That's the only way your getting to Heaven. "Its not by works that any man should boast." If you could work your way to heaven then whhy did Jesus come? You can't work your way, period.

First of all - Jesus IS God in human form.
Secondly - You must have a Catholic background to bring up Mary.
With that being said, I have to ask you don't you have better things to do than ponder that which we don't know at this time?
We don't know it because God makes it clear that He wants us to seek to draw near to Him.
Ponder this instead - God wants to have a personal relationship with you and everyone else. If you were the only sinner who ever lived Jesus would have gone to the cross just for you!!!
I have found it to be a waste of my time to try to learn ABOUT God when He wants me to KNOW Him personally.

I am Southern Baptist. Southern Baptists believe all people are equally close to God (if they so choose....) No one being any closer than anyone else. In other words, the minister in my church is no closer to God than I am. Neither was Mary, Jesus' mother. She was just a person, the same as me.
Jesus IS God, so Baptists don't count him as being 'closer' to God...

JEsus IS God so that eliminates that answer . . . . . Mary was just a person like us so that also eliminates that answer . . . . . the person I think is closest to God would be Pope Benidic XVI

Read the 11th and 12 Chapter of Hebrews. This may give you a good perspective. But I don't know if I can really give you an accurate answer: we know very little about this sort of order from where we sit.

Everyone is close to God in their own way. I do not believe that Jesus or Mary should be any closer than anyone else...

By closest, do you mean most similar? If so it would have to be another fictional character. So what fictional character committed mass genocide of millions of people. The one that comes to mind is the Emperor in Star Wars when he blew up the death star.

Jesus IS God and he so loved the WHOLE world that He died for us all.
There is no one person that He loves more than another.
