Praying in tongues just means in a foreign language. It is not that rideculous babbling that you hear people do today. The ability to speak in the tongue you are referring to was a gift that was only given to the apostles.

Acts 19:6 And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied

Every one has been given a special gift from God, and not everyone is gong to get that gift of tongues the way people babble in Chruches today. It is a misconception that has gotten way out of control.

2 Timothy 2:16 But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.

1 Corinthians 12:30 Have all the gifts of healing? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret?

Not everyone is going to have these same gifts. Just pray the normal way and God will hear and answer your prayers according to His will.

There is no such thing as tongues! Tongues means Languages. When apostles and people in the bible were blessed by holy Spirit to speak in tongues it meant they no had the ability to speak in other languages in order to communicate with people of different nations in order to preach Gods word. It wasn't a heavenly Language of Garble and Shouting which some would have you believe.

Learn the language you need. Being bilingual isn't the only gift you can have though. Gibberish doesn't count as speaking in tongues. Praying with such words is of no benefit of anyone. If ginnerish was really going to help spread the gospel, why would you need a translator?

Paul said, and I'm not suggesting this, that if there isn't someone
to interpret the tongues. They should keep silent. I'm yet to see
someone who can interpret the tongues.

When speaking in tongues, I like to say Limericks. Once in a while I say one of Hamlet's soliloquies ... "To be or not to be..." sounds more like "wieiwef wioufnweuoh ghgdygdbydgew"
