I eat a light lunch.
Stay away from sugar and carbs.
Eat a protein snack... such as cheese, peanut butter or slices of lean turkey, chicken or roast beef.
Stay away from the ups and downs of caffeine.... load up on fruits, veggies and proteins.
Get up from your desk once every half hour.
Take the stairs whenever possible to keep your heart rate up.
Find constructive activities to get your blood moving.... stretches, jog in place (in the bathroom if you have to), fill the paper trays in the copier, be the one who makes the coffee, refill supplies.... anything to get up and move for at least 5 min. of every half hour.
Works for me... sometimes it's a struggle... but give it a try.
Have a great day!

Eat small light portions
Example 9am eat a hard boiled egg
10 15 eat half sandwich
1130 eat an apple
Consisder your stomach like a fireplace and you energy like a the fire and the food like wood if you throw on big heavy logs the fire dies down then it takes a while for it to come back
If you put on a lot of little items like paper the flame burns fast and bright if you keep the fire buring evenly you will feel better.

It's the carbohydrates in your lunch that make you so sleepy. Your blood sugar crashes a few hours after eating bread, pasta, potatoes etc. Try eating a chef salad, or other protein and veggie combo, and stay low carb at lunch. I promise after a few days you'll be full of energy come 3 o'clock

After lunch? I'm not working yet, but I get the same feeling in school. Try snacking a bit. Open a bag of chips whenever you get sleepy at work, unless it's prohibited
You know, those potato chips that claim to have something good in them, when in reality, they don't?
They are good for something after all. hahahahaha.

Don't eat so much at lunch time. Try eating very little. Over eating makes you sleep. Secondly maybe your job is boring, find something slightly interesting to do right after lunch like reading emails, reading articles, snacking but not till you get too full, just anything that you might just find slightly interesting but wont cost you your job.

You must not eat curd rice for lunch, because curd rice makes you feel lazy and sleepy. Then you should not drink 2 or more cups of coffee. You must be intrested in your job work only then you should not feel sleepy. OK

Get up and move. It's the best way to help you keep going. But also make sure you aren't having heavy fattening foods for lunch. Lighter lunches keep you more alert in the afternoon.

I take a 15-20min.cat nap! Lunch digestion really makes one sleepy, and dirnking coffee just exhausts one at the end. Take a cat nap!
