Conception can happen at any time. It just depends on where the egg is when the sperm enters the equation.
If you're talking about two weeks of trying... I suppose it could take anywhere from ten minutes to ten years. Just ask the women who have been trying for years and years to have a child.

No, the actual conception happens as soon as an egg is reached by sperm. The sperm can fertilize an egg immediately during sex but it takes about 2 to 3 days for the sperm to die if it did not reach and egg. Which is how the morning after pill works (before the sperm fertilizes the egg and they stick to the uterus) After your egg is fertilized they then travel to your uterus where they get cosy and star developing into your baby.

Not necessarily. It all depends on how susceptable your body is to getting pregnant. I had been faithfully on birth control for a little over 2 years when I got pregnant; all it took me was that first time shot! What most people don't realize, and doctors don't exactly stress the importance, is that alcohol kills the effects of birth control!! We had gone out to celebrate my 20th birthday, and ended up with a gift that neither one of us expected...

No, but it might take 2 weeks or longer for your pregnancy hormones to reach a high enough level for a pregnancy test to detect them.

No... Your egg must be fertilized within 48hrs at the most. This is also the maximum time sperm will live.
