Well gramatically. Try instead: Jesus, the son of Mary.

Why would it be wrong? If Jesus is the son of Mary, than it's safe to say, Jesus son of Mary.

If you're using is as an expression of frustration or something like that then, yes, it's using God's name in vain. But Jesus is the son of Mary, and it's not wrong to say that He is.

Not at all, Jesus was in fact the son of Mary. It is however stupid (in my opinion) to say the Virgin mary when mary had other kids besides Jesus. I mean what are we holding on the memory of Mary being a Virgin when she had Jesus? I once was a virgin no one remembers that and calls me the Virgin David!

No because he is the son of Mary...why would that be wrong...you can say he is Mary's son but you may want to say Jesus first to emphasize his name more.
