On the news women claimed that there is a wall seperating them from the men and they can not hear the prayer ....and the men think this is right...and the women should stay in the back how juvenile they are treated like second class citizens and who ever thinks that is fair than they should go sit in the back

It's true that women are treated like dirt. And contrary to the moron who thinks it's just brainwashing, it's completely true and I've seen this first hand. It's not that people dislike muslims for this, but it just proves that their religion needs some serious revamping, because their stuck in the middle ages still.

The most terrible is when man talk about women rights and about treating women as second class citizens. I live in EU and I feel that women are discriminating all the time. We harder get job, we have lower salary, we have double work (at home and in a job)....

All over the world man treat women as less important, only there is a differences between cultures.

U watch too much tv dude. Im not defending anyone but u got to know that every religion expect women to act respectable, dressed decently, be loving and respectful to their men and all these. Its just that in today's modern world.. ppl do not take such rules in their religion seriously anymore. Many have a religion but most of them never commit to them. Some wears the sign of their religion on their body yet commit adultery and many other sorts of crime. As for the muslims, they still stick to their traditions. Perhaps a lil bit too much for a modern world to accept. Especially now that the world has become smaller. I think it is somewhat of a cultural shock for the westerners to see the easterners treat their women differently. But i believe its more of a cultural way than religious beliefs. There are rules... yes for women to adhere to.. but many of these rules are quite flexible.. if you are willing to be flexible. Many though prefer to follow it to the extreme.

Women are looked at differently in the east. Respect is still there for a woman's dignity and has got to be preserved. And believe it or not.. many women out there do not complain.. in fact welcomes it. Maybe some believe that its cos they are ignorant.. but what if they want to be so? What if they want to cover themselves and stay away from men until they get married? Has it come to the point that it is wrong now for a woman to preserve herself? Has the world come to not committing a bad act is actually bad? As a muslim, i do know that Islam believes in living moderately and that women should be treated with utmost respect. Our mom and our grandmother themselves are women. The prophet (peace be upon him) was asked before of who should we respect the most.. and he said "your mother", asked again.. he replied the same thing.. asked again who is next to be respected he replied the same thing.. asked for the 4th time only does he said " your father". If you really want to how does the muslim should really be treating women.. please read the last sermon of the prophet.. it is really short.. and u could learn alot in a nutshell what the teaching of the prophet is all about.

unfortunately you dont seem to know much about muslim prayer.
it doesnt matter who is at the back, there are two chambers, the men could claim it is they who are at the back.

The wall is to seperate men and women, not keep the women behind the men.

And what you see in the media is designed to manipulate your views. why dont you ask a muslim girl if she is opressed, rather than let the media speak for her?

well, if you are a muslim or if you learnt more about islam by practing it or at least thinking of the rituals . then you would not be asking this questioon. i am a jew and i have been to a lot of islamic countries and i have practised some of the rituls and i am not a muslim.

you should be more aware of what you are saying.... in chrisitiantiy women are looked upon as nothing but whores, and were put to waer chastity belts when thier husbands were sent to fight. and till now women do not have the same salaires as men in the US , women can not keeep their names after marriage and hey they do nto have divorce sacanctioned by the chruch .

as for paryers, this is not something to be dicussed , for one reason , there is thins thing called imam and behind the imam ppl stand in lines. men are sepreated from women when parying. we are humans , and sexual thoughts jump into mind when preforming a religious ritual.... the seperation is for having full concentration on the ritual itself... i have not seen that women are only behind men.... in paryers, some women when the pray , they select one women to be the imam and they stand behind her... the only reason for this , is the fact whom ever they select as an imam , has more knowledge then the those behind him/her

come on read and practise then start discussing . in islam women are givein the right to divorce men in chrisitiany nothing like that and jewdisim.

in islam women protect thier faimllys by a legal marriage that enables them to have childreen who have rights ( inhertence, name of father ..etc"
