Sounds like you might have crossed into one of the parties I've thrown! They tend to linger after the fact, sort of like a time hick up. Yep, fire; nudity; church; and I think the Cowans were at the last bash so it's all there all right. Most folk who attended can't remember much of it either so don't get too upset. Negative feelings eh? We don't have a golden toilet, but someone used the Tuba in an atrocious way! I hope that wasn't you! Well if it was your forgiven, we'll never play that Tuba again though. My thoughts are this, if you come again to our dream party; it's the second door on the left. All you had to do was ask!

Hmm. Interesting symbolisms in that dream of yours.

I can inform you that "Cowan" is a well known Scottish clan name with strong roots in Scottish history.

If the church played a prominent part in your dream, it basically symbolised a spiritual experience or event, not specific to a religion.

The fire and nudity I think you need no help with.

Although there are general interpretations for dream symbols, ultimately, it rests on the shoulders of the dreamer to understand fully what they all mean to them.

All the best.

I did a word search for "cowen" and found it is a town in West Virginia, however a quick news search didn't turn up any news stories from there. Perhaps you misheard and the word was Conan and you were having a nightmare about Conan O'Brien and the Emmy Awards. That would explain the nudity if you think of the outfits most of the women were wearing.

As to your dream...I have no idea.

The word "cowan" is used in Traditional Wicca to refer to anyone who isn't an initiate. It likely came from the Freemasons. They use (or used) the word to mean someone who isn't a Mason but claims to be. The word was originally used to refer to a stone-mason who used a process of laying stone without using mortar. Since mortar is what binds the stones together, the implication was that the person was claiming having status as a Freemason without having the initiation, passwords, and other things that "bind" the Masons to one another.

Invest in a dream book. I would annalize this one 4 you if I could find mine, but it's likely still packed. Go down to your local wiccan/pagan store and find a book on dreams, or ask the store owner for help picking one out.

Why would you address such a question to Pagans? For dream analysis you should see a psychologist.
