Have you ever heard of or experience some software company offering free virus/spy scan. When all they detect are the spyware they put into your computer when you download it. Meanwhile claiming that their software is the only one capable of removing it. (of course they put it in ther right). But of course you have to pay to get their own cookies off your computer.
Who else thinks some (not all) of them are frauds???

Yes, many of these anti-spyware programs are bogus.

I do know that you need a multiple anti-spyware solution. I use several

Ad-aware - scans files
SpyBot Search & Destroy - scans registry

Both of these are free, without a hitch.

Some are definitely frauds. I had a bad experience with an emailed offer for spyware and ended up with a virus. Yahoo has a toolbar with spyware you can download, it is safe and effective and free! I reccomend it.

some spywares are spy them selfs & they all want to sell you something, thats how they make a living, you should be able to tell the frauds, cause they never find new spywhere, but if you'd like to avoid them putting crap on ur computer when you down load them, then check out this site & read what it does for you, yep an e-mail address that disolves after you get what you want & all you don't want. http://spambox.us/

Oh yeah...

You're safe sticking with AVG Anti-Virus and Spybot though.

You can add Spyware Blaster from Javacoolsoftware to prevent most spyware from being installed at all.
