In my opinion, it's not a matter of how long it will take, it's a matter if you can fight or not. Some guys/girls just aren't suited for the fight game. I've been in the gym with some guys/girls for years and they workout very hard and try the very best that they can, they just don't have it, they don't like getting hit, they lack power, their uncoordinated, there's all kinds of things going against them other then time, they just can't fight. Now lets say you're in the gym and you have some sort of talent, the main thing is to always listen to your Trainer, he's the guy who will take you exactly where you want to go and hopefully he will be honest with you and let you know if you have what it takes. Unfortunately there isn't any time table to let a person know when he/she is a good boxer. If you have the heart, desire and determination, you should be well on your way to becoming the very best that you can be. Good luck d-man.

I think it depends on what you want to do with boxing. If your desire is to be a member of the Olympic team, it takes anywhere from 9 to 13 years to achieve that goal. Most of the athletes who make the U.S. Olympic team have been boxing since they were 8 or 10 years old. They have many years of Junior Olympic experience (ages 8-16) and have generally been in the top 4 or 5 of their weight class nationally. Most have had international experience. If you are truly dedicated and focused, this dream could become a reality.

it depends on you. If you are motivated to become good boxer, you will become good boxer in short time. And it is better to have an idol boxer as your inspiration. Thank you, God bless.
