there are many fine brands of Cuban cigars
Romeo and Julietta

Hoyo de Monterrey
Sancho Panza
Montechristo
Cohiba
...
Nothing compares to Cuban cigars, although the Dominican and Panamese are not bad either

Some of the best cigars right now are coming out of Nicaragua. In fact, a lot of Cuban cigars have a Nicaraguan filler and binder.

reason for this is that Castro allocates seed and fertilizer to the growers, and many of those growers plant the seed, but the fertilzers for the soil tens to get used in the crops that feed their family.

Some Good Nicaraguans:
Oliva...Try the Serie S or the Serie O
Torano

Both of these companies make their own cigars from seed to box, not many other companies can say that.

Torano makes most of CAO's cigars
Oliva makes mostly everything thats good out there.

To be correct, you have to call them "Habanos" (Habanos includes almost all the handmade premium cigars rolled in Cuba).

Well, after Cuba, I think Nicaragua is the country that can grow some really qualitative tobacco, quite powerfull and rich. Honduras makes some good too, and I personally dislike Dominican tobacco, too light, tastes like straw...
