Species have disappeared throughout history and today. A fossil proves that minerals form around organic things that do not decompose, maintaining their shape. For all of you psudeoscientists who would purport that evolution is the actual explanation for the formation of human beings, go back to your science books and very carefully study the word theory. To date there has been no infallible proof that evolution is valid. Similarly there is nothing that refutes the fact that the earth was created by God. All the brain power through all time on Earth cannot begin to fill a millisecond of God's thoughts this is why so called evolutionists cannot begin to explain how an explosion of inorganic matter "evolved" into deoxyrobonucleic acid and then into the very complex molecules that systemically compose a human being. It also seems your cohorts in physics that have some ideas that would negate this whole evolutionary idea. I lived in a research community (Hanford) and attended church with scientists and researchers in most areas of science. My next door neighbor as a child was a mathematics professor at a Jesuit University. He and his wife were devout Christians. Hence, please know that there are distinguished scientists who believe in God.

In no way at all. The link you gave in your question is typical of the creationist use non-science and deliberate misinterpretation of data. The fact that an organism exists today that existed millions of years ago simply means that it has developed the right structure for its environment - if mutations occur they will not result in a better adapted creature and therefor die out from the population. A good example of this is Lingula which has remained virtually unchanged since the Devonian period. Another example of evolution is a variety of fish found in Lake Victoria. Some 100 years ago a section of the lake became cut off by a sand bar trapping a population of these fish. In the ensuing years the fish in the cut off section of the lake which still look identical to the main lake population have changed very slightly but enough for the two types to be no longer able to interbreed. I can go on ad infinitum but if you have been brainwashed by creationism I am just wasting my time.

Whoa, this website is telling bold faced lies. No wonder people don't understand evolution if they're reading this stuff. The existance of a species today that existed millions of years ago, which other species today are descended from, does not disprove evolution. It just means some of the old ones lived and weren't compatible or didn't intermingle with the new species. Big deal.
If any species were found which could not evolve from simpler organisms, it would disprove evolution. So far, no such species has ever been found, despite what creationists claim.

"Evolutionists take a fossil, link it arbitrarily to some present-day species, and then claim that the fossil is the ancestor of the living organism in question"
this writer is an idiot. This is NOT what is done.
Stop reading this biased christian material. If you wanna read christian material that is anti evolution, try reading from a mature christian who is a scientist. It wont be the best source of information in my opinion, but at least they may have looked at both sides and speak honestly. Maybe then people who believe in evolution may listen to you. There are christians that believe in evolution, read there material if you have to in order to get the other side of the information.

Wow! What a load of unresearched, unspecific, poorly written baloney!
Even a high-school kid with the vaguest of interest in science could find all the faults in that piece of work, lol!!
I strongly suggest, if you genuinely want to debate your beliefs with conviction, without showing yourself up as you have just done to anyone who has actual knowledge in the processes of how scientists actually come to their conclusions regarding fossils, to read some peer-reviewed papers on the subject. Some of them are far from biased in favour of evolution, simply because that attitude to try and disprove, is encouraged because it is fundamental in discovering the truths in ideas submitted within the scientific community.
Any scientist that tells anyone something is 100% true and infallible, is no scientist! This is true even for the basic laws of physics, for goodness sake!
Stop relying on religious sources for unbiased criticisms of science. You will ALWAYS be lied to, by the simple fact that sources such as those, are not open to the possibility they MAY be wrong about any aspect of their beliefs(in fact, am I not blaspheming simply by suggesting that), so by default, cannot be unbiased in their views!
All the best.

My sister gave me a Fossil watch, and I had forgotten the evolution of electronics time keeping displays, from tube filament displays, to LEDs, to LCD, and the moderate to high energy costs of LED digits!
But, it certainly did "Overturn" the older Evolution clocks, that cost $35,000 each, and weighed 55 pounds, and required 400 cycle power!
I now wear it instead of the more modern digital LCD watch with the tide and time, moon phases (so necessary to most Wiccans, and the female mood analysts), and stopwatch, so needed to time the group sex sessions in Tantric Yoga at our huge "Institute of Safe and Fun Human Sensuality" that leads one to God through meditation during Sex!
Gives new meaning to the concept of "Spiritual Awareness" through the aspects of innovative introspective concentration on
the production of endorphins in the occipital lobes.
But, I digress.
We chart Evolution of the Fossil brands on MySQL in Linux, on http://pclinuxos.com when we are not otherwise occupied.
Mark Twain said it so well: "Suppose I were an Idiot. Then, imagine that I were in Congress. But, I repeat myself."
That is where the specious arguments about "Creationism" vs. "Evolution" have led! Joined the Church of the FSM, yet?

Right...
Thanks for that impartial piece of evidence.
And I suppose a book that was written hundreds of years after the life of the main character is historically accurate.
Here's a challenge...get a pen and some paper. Write the life story of your ancestors from 400 years ago. Don't take any creative license and make sure that you are historically and personally accurate to their stories. On your mark...get set...go.
