In the U.K. we usually have an early wedding then a reception with family and close friends. Those you cant afford to have in the day for the full meal are invited for the evening dancing and light buffet this is the norm in this country.

Is your reception during the day, evening or are you having 2 receptions? Don't really understand your question. But I love it when people have the disposable cameras at receptions. It's the best way for the bride and groom to get the most candid shots of their friends no matter what time of day! That way they can see just how much their guests enjoyed themselves. But if you're having an evening reception, be sure to get the cameras with a built in flash. And put instructions on the table that they should use the camera but to remember to charge the flash. My friend ended up with a bunch of rolls that were almost black because some tables didn't know how to work the manual flash.

My cousin had them on the table during the wedding receiption which was in the evening - you are having a day and an evening reception? Why and why go to all the expense? My cousin was disappointed with the results of the disposable cameras and said she wouldn't bother if she did it again as it cost a lot of develop and most of them were quite blurry and stupid. I have decided not to go for them but have a really good photographer instead and let me friends take pics with their cameras. Good luck.

You could do a mixture of both, put a few out for the meal/main reception and then put a few out for the evening reception. The only problem with the evening reception is if anyone too drunk gets hold of it you might have a few unsavoury shots or you might not get the cameras back.

I was at a wedding in July where the couple put out disposable cameras at the formal reception in the afternoon. All I can say that it was a big success. Good luck on your big day, many years of happiness to you.

Well, I like the idea of it. BUT I have been to weddings were people would actually take the camara home with them. I know, I know, Sad bbut true. What I want to do it is rent a photo booth. I have a "scrapbooking area" right outside of it. that way I have a picture of everyone & they feel comfortable enough to be a goofy as they want. Also I want to have it hooked up to a T.V. can see the pictures that have just been taken. & hopefully be encouraged to join in the fun! It makes for a unique wedding memorabelia. OK hope that helps!

Depends where the wedding is being held....i in a church I think it might be a bit more difficult to have the cameras given in church......the weddings I have been to had themin the evening. Perhaps a basket or something ith them to help them selves as they leave the ceremony part and also the same at the reception.

Hi, im getting married next year and i was thinking about putting them on the tables at the wedding reception as the guest at the church will probabley be prepared with there own cameras so you dont have to worry about that. Its up to you

We did that for our wedding reception and the pictures came out as expected. Hilarious!! It was a great idea and fun too, because you never knew who was going to take pictures, and of who or what for that matter. Quite entertaining. Our reception was in the evening. I don't really think it would matter. People love to take pictures!!!

Anytime would be great. My future sister-in-law had them on tables and she has a wonderful photo album of her wedding from just disposable cameras! It is a great idea, and in July 2007 when I get married I plan to do the same thing! Congrats lady!
