Here are some things you might not have tried yet.
1. Use a 50/50 mix of water and hydrogen peroxide as a mouthwash every other day. It will debride and cleanse the mouth. You can feel the dead cells sloughing off. THEN brush your teeth AFTER using this 50/50 mix. Your mouth will feel so clean!
2. Try taking some acidophilis and chlorophyll tablets. You go to a health food store for these. They help maintain the balance of the normal flora of your mouth and gastrointestinal tract. Sometimes bad breath is caused by an overgrowth of certain types of bacteria, causing that sulfer smell. These tablets will help with that.
3. Eat parsley leaves a few times a day. Parsley is a great natural breath sweetener. Also drink plenty of water, with a bit of lemon in it. Lemon is also a natural sweetner.

A major cause of BB is drinking coffee and eating dairy products.
BB is normally caused by bacteria - they give off the nasty smells, so keep up with the tongue scraping & tooth brushing!
You might also concider changing your current brand of mouthwash. Personally I found that alcohol based products like Listerine aren't that great,(short term effects) but had better results with 'Dentyl'.
Some peppermint oil capsules can ease digestive problems & help with BB, parsley is a known 'cure'. Don't be tempted to 'get a bit industrial' and mixing up your own concoctions such as dilute bleach / sterilising fluid.
To avoid embarrising moments - always have some strong mints handy, they'll make you feel fresher. Not a cure, but a good mask.
And finally, speak to your dental hygenist or even your GP for advice. You won't be the first person...and you won't be the last!!

A member of my family had this problem and her dentist advised her to eat fresh pineapple as this cleaned the tongue where most bad breath problems arise. Another cause can be when you have a bad tooth, tonsillitis or are a smoker. Otherwise, see a hypnotherapist who can help by planting a counter suggestion that your breath is fine and does not smell. Whatever the reason I hope that you soon get it sorted out as I know from my family how upsetting this can be.

Rather than see a doctor could I recommend that see a Dentist who will check for the usual causes of bad breath such as caries or periodontitis.
Smoking can also contribute to bad breath.

If others say you don't have bad breath, then you don't.
Sounds like you are become Paranoid.
That's when you carry on believing something against all the evidence to the contrary.
Stick your tongue all the way out, touch the back of your tongue to your wrist, let it dry, smell your wrist.
If it smells like dog sh*t (No, REALLY that smell and no other) then you have bad breath.

You should go see a dentist so that they can evaluate you for periodontal disease or gingivitis. If you haven't had them professionally cleaned in a while that may take care of the problem. If not then you may have something going on systemically--they may need to run bloodwork to check to make sure your levels are all normal.

What problem? Paranoia?
.
Go to the dentist if you're concerned.
Also look at what you're eating, this could be the root of the smell (if there is any ).
Try Gold spot, it's a menthol mouth spray, if you want to put your mind at rest.
Good luck.

Someone I worked with had nasal polyps and he said he always could smell something like a dead rat up his nose, it wasn't really there. Apparently it's a common symptom. So maybe see a dr and have them look up your nose for polyps. Otherwise you could ask someone you trust to smell your breath, but it has to be someone who will be totally honest with you, if you don't have a sister you're probably out of luck

I had the same problem several years back. I finally told my dentist to figure out what the he** was going on and he deicided then that I had gingivitis. Its gone and good now, but sometimes it can be best to get several opinions from different professionals on any certain matter.

Floss every day. Bad breath is often caused by bad-guys under the gum line. Brushing won't shift this.
