althought it may not look good for you to reshedule my advice would be too. Alot of people have car problems...its part of getting a car. No worries it will be fine. Just let them know whats going on and see what they can do to help you.

Depending on what impression you want to make, really.
Have you an umbrella? If you are going to get absolutely soaked and you can get another job interview with someone else, perhaps you can try and reschedule. Be aware though, if someone else is being interviewed today, you might not get the job.
If you were to make the effort regardless and arrived there drenched, it would show them your dedication for keeping promises.
But, as you said, it's just a cashiers job, not like you need the money that badly....is it?
Good luck. I hope they understand!

what's the use anyway of asking here NOW? a hypothetical question? anyway , when you are applying for a job , the potential employer will like to see you as a person who is dependable. in my opinion , you should have made sure that you were able to attend the interview. why didn't you start early? why not take an umbrella? a potential employer won't like lame excuses like these.
if it is absolutely impossible for you to attend today , try to call and reschedule . be prepared to give a convincing reason , if needed.
i will be uneasy working for an employer who falls for each and every excuse.

I don't think it would be wrong to reschedule.
I would call them and politely explain that you are unable to attend the interview today as your car got a flat tire. Tell them you're terribly sorry for the inconvenience.
Just remember that they want to feel like you are reliable so if you say anything about the rain or not being able to get a ride or take a cab they will wonder what happens if it rains and she needs to come to work?
Is there no way to take a bus or something?
While I think it's possible to cancel, remember you do get only the one chance to make a first impression.

It looks really bad to re-schedule an interview, they will think you are undependable. Do whatever you can to get there. If it is way too far and raining too hard, then call them and let them know you can't make it, but try to find another way.

It is for a job at a golf course, not at the White House......relax. Remember, there is always McDonald's.

First impressions is what counts. By you calling them...You are saying right off the bat, that you are not reliable, responsible, nor dependable. My opinion.
Business owner....
