3 WOMEN GO INTO A SHOP TO BUY A RADIO IT COSTS £30 SO THEY PAY £10 EACH AFTER THEY LEAVE THE MAN IN THE SHOP LOOKS AT HIS PRICE LIST AND HE SEE'S THE RADIO WAS ONLY £25 POUNDS SO HE RUNS OUT OF THE SHOP WITH THE £5 DIFFERENCE AND HE SAYS TO HIMSELF THERE ARE 3 WOMEN AND £5 WILL NOT SPLIT EQUAL SO HE PUTS £2 IN HIS OWN POCKET AND GIVES THE 3 WOMEN BACK A £1 EACH SO THAT MENT THEY ONLY PAID £9 EACH FOR THE RADIO. SO TO RECAP 3 WOMEN PAID £10 EACH FOR THE RADIO THEY GOT £1 EACH BACK SO THEY PAID £9 EACH AND THE MAN PUT £2 IN HIS OWN POCKET SO LETS ADD UP 9X3=27, AND THE £2 THE MAN PUT IN HIS POCKET SO 9X3=27+2=29. SO MY QUESTION IS WHERE DID THE OTHER £1 GO

yup, i heard the hotel one before too, and i find both the questions very very STUPID. for Christ's sake, TOTAL AMT SHOP-GUY HAS: 25 + 2 = 27
TOTAL AMT WOMEN GET BACK: 3
SO, IT'S 30 IN TOTAL

Err, the £2 the man put in his pocket also comes from £27 the ladies paid. So, £27 -£2 = £25 which is the price of the radio. £27 +£3 (£1 each ) = £30 which is what ladies paid.

There is none. The reasoning is faulty. You don't add the $2 in the man's pocket to the $27, because it's part of the $27 the women paid. The $27 gets added to the $3 returned to the women to total the initial $30 (sorry, but I don't know what key to hit for the British pound, so I changed my answer to dollars -it still works, as it's still Math).

l've heard this before except it was a hotel room and US$, so the answer to your riddle is that the 3 women paid less than 9 pounds each and that is where the missing pound is.
