I have a little maltese and he sleeps at night in his crate from about 9pm - 7am (I think he actually may wake up earlier and just lay awake and wait for us to get up). He also sleeps all day while we are at work (I know, I've video taped him) from about 9am - 5pm.

I have 2 Siberian Huskies. My wife has a medical transcription business that she runs out of our home, so during the day the dogs are mostly inside the house and will lay on the floor and nap off and on with no set schedule. They also will not move for us if they are laying on the floor and awake - they just assume we will walk around them or step over them, which we do. If they hear a door open or car keys rattle, they are instantly awake and on their feet. At night, they each have their own blanket that they sleep on that is on the floor, next to our bed. They generally get on their blankets and go to sleep about the same time we go to bed. One of our dogs (the one that has bonded with my wife) will sleep through the night without wandering through the house or wanting to go outside in the middle of the night. Our other dog (the one that has bonded with me) will not sleep through the night, and generally wants to go outside at least once during the middle of the night. Not sure what's up with that!

Mine sleep all night through, and whenever they get bored during the day. I have mini-doxie's and they're lap dogs unless they hear a noise or see a bug, then they're raring to go.

Mine don't really have a sleeping time. They snooze when things are slow, and do that with one virtual eye open and their ears ever alert. Any unusual sound or activity, day or night, then they are on their feet again.
