I know Doxies can chew your house up if left to their own devices. What kinds of toys can I use? I don't want to encourage them in any bad habits. By the way...I am loving all the great answers. Thanks

My doxie will destroy cotton stuffed toys and vinyl squeky toys. I have found out that the laytex toys are the best. She doesn't destroy them and plays with them forever.

give them a pair of your old shoes...they will love it and it will keep em off your good ones =) also get some of those 'dentabones' the plastic looking bones...they are good for the doxies, they like em and the bones last a long time

i thought the best thing for my pup was a bone out of the buthers i would boil it up and give her it before i went out and when i came back in there was nothing chewed all i had to pick up was wee bits of chewed bone but nothing major

If you give them the old shoes they'll think the new ones are ok to chew, too. everyone has mis-matched socks... tie them in knots and toss em to them. T-bone only ever goes for socks with knots in them... he knows that no knot means its not for him!
