Its a really good quote but I can't remember who said it, it goes: "In a world without religion, good people will still do good things and evil people will still do evil things but only in a world with religion will good people do evil deeds." The wording is just from memory but its very similar to that, any ideas will be greatly appreciated.

Found it.

With or without religion, good people can behave well and bad people can do evil; but for good people to do evil -- that takes religion.
Steven Weinberg (1933 - ) US Physicist

On the way, I found these (it was fun. Ok, i have very low expectations for what I define as fun...):

"Good people do not need laws to tell them to act responsibly, while bad people will find a way around the laws."
- Plato (427-347 B.C.)

"In the End, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends."
- Martin Luther King Jr. (1929-1968)

Good people are good because they've come to wisdom through failure.
William Saroyan
US author (1908 - 1981)

"The good people sleep much better at night than the bad people. Of course, the bad people enjoy the waking hours much more."Woody Allen

Marie Ebner von Eschenbach:
Whenever two good people argue over principles, they are both right.

English philosopher Edmund Burke said, ‘The only thing necessary for the triumph [of evil] is for good men to do nothing.’ (there's a whole web page on how this quote has been misquoted. I pasted the website below)

I cannot find it, but wanted to say what an excellent way of putting the point it is!
All my life I have been amazed at the number of otherwise intelligent people still are afraid to reject the idea of any sort of supreme being - a concept thought up thousands of years ago to try and explain things that the world and its people were too undeveloped to understand.
The grief and suffering that this superstition continues to cause worldwide, promulgated by those who seek power over simple folks' minds is terrible.
How do people reject Father Christmas and the Easter Bunny when they become adults, but continue to accept an even bigger load of nonsense?
