i am 37 weeks pregnant and the babys head has been engaged for two weeks now i get pains every now and again should i go out far away from my home area now or stop locally

stay local and keep an eye on consistant cramps like you are getting, if there is a pattern you are having contractions, 5 mins apart make sure you call your doctor and head to the hospital! I went into labor at 37 weeks - GOOD LUCK YEY!

Usually dr's advise not to go very far from home (near where you are going to have the baby) during the last month or so or pregnancy. You can always check with your Dr. to see what they advise. Especially if you are talking about a "trip" I'm sure they will advise against it.

I would stay close to home, you never know when you are going to go into labor. It could be weeks, it could be days. It is better to be safe than sorry. Congrats on the approaching baby!

Stay home! you're almost there, girl... is this your 1st? If it is, baby may be stubborn and stay put a bit longer, but if not, the way is clearer and you need to be ready at the drop of a hat. I lobored for 13 hrs with my 1st, but only 2 with my second! we barely made it to the hospital!

Do what you feel comfortable with, don't suppose I'd be making any 500 km road trips. It's good baby's head is engaged.

Stay close to home. You could go at any minute or much later. Better to be safe than sorry.

Yep stay close. Who know what might happen. You want to have you own doctor take care of it not some one you don't know.

I'd stay close to home and have those phone numbers on SPEED DIAL!! GOOD LUCK...remember they come when THEY WANT...not when YOU planned!!!
