It's funny how your question is the answer. To be religious, to have faith IS to ask! Constantly! If a person is religious, ask them why they are. If a person is of a certain religion, ask them why they are in that religion. If they can't give you an answer, then you gave them something to think about, and re-evaluate. That's all faith is, believing though you may not know the answers, but at least knowing that the answers will come, though.

Your question is a little unclear, but I think you're asking how to become a religious person or how to accept a religion. If this is true, I suggest you read up on that particular faith and make a personal relationship with the Lord. All too often, people make assumptions due to what they hear from other people. So, do your research and make a commitment from your heart.

The key to being religious is a desire to have a close relationship with God because you fear Him and the alternative if you dont. Fewer people do not fear hell for some strange reason, so they choose to have a less intimate relationship with their maker. Their loss my dear. Everyone has a choice, God given, to pursue Him or not, today or tomorrow, it doesnt matter as long as they do before they die. God is merciful and will judge them on their entire life...not on one single moment.
I understand what youre saying but its in a sarcastic way which wont reach many, but good try and God bless you.

Is it the key to be religious or spiritual? Ordinary by no means describes the miracle, vastness, quanity if data even in one of my single cells or yours. so much more than just seeing, hearing, and thinking. Amazing

Your comment (I think it's more of a comment than a question) reminds me of this wonderful poem by William Carlos Williams:
The Red Wheelbarrow
so much depends
upon
a red wheel
barrow
glazed with rain
water
beside the white
chickens.

DNA is a far stretch from religious philosophy. Do people normally act like they understand you?

The first step to being religious is to read the ten commandments are realize how you oppose them in your heart. Then you will know that God exists and that God is good.
