Should English be treated as a tool for progress, rather than a foreign language?? Because with each passing day it is gaining more and more acceptence across the world, as a common mode of expression rather than being recognized as one country or nation's language!

English as an international language has many advantages. Firstly it is spoken by a vast number of people through out the whorld already. Its grammar is not over complex (I live in Poland now and I know how hard Polish grammar is to learn). It has the largest vocabulary of any language in the world and it is getting larger. It is a very flexible language in which it is possible to communicate effectively without using complex grammar structures. In Polish and Russian meanings can be totally destroyed by very small errors in grammar. Lastly various simple synthetic languages have been tried (e.g. Esperanto) but all have failed for a range of reasons.

The world has become a very small village now & we have to accept that. We must find a way 2 communicate together, & i don't see why this universal language is not English........

All references are written in this language & text books, etc...
