I have heard that GB players are willing to wager their own homes and are very aggressive when playing for real money.

We're all one global poker congregation these days. The Internet has made it a more level playing field... and nobody even mentioned Scandinavia, which is home to some of the world's most aggressive and successful cash game players.
To answer the Q, I guess anybody playing poker for a living is going to be happy, whatever their nationality. I do, and it's a lovely lifestyle. I get to be at home with my wife and son 24/7, no commuting, no stress.
