The two Fox News reporters that were kidnapped in Gaza, were held at gunpoint, and told to "convert to Islam or die"... in which they said they would, then put on Arabic robes, and spoke against the West on an aired recording.

Fellow Christians, if you were in their shoes, what would you do?

"Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it. For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?" Matthew 16:24-26

Would you have done as they did, lie and say you converted? Or would you remain true to Christ, and proclaim His name even unto the risk of death? Or something else?

Remain true to Jesus. He became man and suffered and died for me and my sins. Why should I deny Him if He has done such a lot for me?

Well, even Peter denied christ 3 times and Jesus knew it would happen, but the terrorist has a warped mind to think that affairs of the heart can be acchived at gun point. Personally, i would have converted and then as soon as i got out of there ordered a double helping of crispy bacon sandwichs.

The Spiritual part of me wants to say I would die a martyr for my God. I would never deny Christ. The flesh part of me would probably win out and do exactly what Olaf Wiig and Steve Centanni did.

Like Peter, who denied Christ three times, I am only human, and like Peter, Christ would forgive me.

There are not many on this earth who could face certain death when they have an option for life. I pray that I am never in that situation because I would probably do as they did. Their problem now is that if they go back on their conversion, they can be executed under Islamic law.

To be forced under threat of death to accept something that you don't believe is the biggest hypocracy...for both sides! The ones who accept the religion under threat of death are being hypocritical (in order to spare their lives) and the ones who are enforcing the conversion are hypocritical since it is being done under duress, so what do they really achieve by doing this? It is just insanity compounded by more insanity!

I would be incredibly bummed out. I'm a oneness Christian with a visible God so being asked to worship the one God in invisible form of spirit would be to deny what God has done for us in becoming visible and revealing that God is Love and has no violence and evil in His will with his life example of 30 years of peace and healing.

For people who can understand theology - God is still infinite and eternal but the "Son of God" refers to the Divine Human that He won in the world through combats with the hells. Read Swedenborg and find out how Christianity is just as monotheistic as Judaism and Islam.

if I were in their shoes i would have indeed stood up for Christ even if i had to die because after I die I know that I will definitely go to heaven..and after all our life on earth is only temporary ..the real life we live is in heaven.
