In The Hadith Bukhari volume 5 No 266, The Prophet said ,"By Allah, even if I am an Apostle of Allah, yet I do not know what Allah will do to me."

If this is true, then how can Muslims be sure of their salvation and go into heaven even you they do perform good deeds?

Is it true that present Muslims pray at least 7 times a day for Muhammed's salvation?

Thanks the Muslim friends for some of the geniune answers. If asking questions so to better understand the Islam faith is being stupid, mischievious or ignorant then I am guilty of that. And if I don't talk about what I don't know how would I learn? Hence how would the ignorant and stupid understand the Islam faith other than what we hear on the news. At least I am trying to understand the true Islam faith or maybe I am stupid after all.

I believe salvation is crucial to any religion without salvation we will definitely not go to Heaven and life will have no meaning. At this moment only Christianity offers a guarantee of salvation through Jesus Christ who is the way, the truth and the life. If there is a God who loves us so much, he will tell us for sure how we can get to Heaven and would leave out any guessing.

Does this mean Prophet Muhammed cannot forgive sins?
Abu Huraira r.a., he said, ‘Rasulullah SAW stood up when God, who is Mosty High and Most Great, sent down the verse which meant, “And give warning to your closest relatives!” Then he (Mohammed) said, “Hi the Quresh! Repent for your sin! I cannot even to the least help you from God’s punishment. Hi Abdi Manaf! I cannot even to the least help you from God’s punishment! Hi Abbas, son of Abdul Mutholib! I cannot even to the least help you from God’s punishment! Hi Safiah, aunt of Rasulullah! I cannot even to the least help you from God’s punishment! Hi Fatima bte Mohammed! Ask from me treasure and I cannot even to the least help you from God’s punishment! (Hadith Shohih Bukhori 1261)

Salvation By Grace only:

Taken from Abu Huraira, Rasulullah once said, “Come near and try to be righteous! Know that every single one among you will not be saved because of his good deeds.” His friends asked, “O Rasulullah, not even you?” Rasulullah said, “Not even me, unless God grants me with His grace and blessing.”
(Hadith Shohih Moslem, by K.H. Adib Basri Mustafa, pg. 819, 76)

Taken from Jabir, he said, “I once heard the prophet (Mohammed) SAW had once said,”There is none among you would enter heaven because of his good deeds and saved from hell, same as for me, unless through grace from God.”” (HSM. by K.H. Adib Basri Mustafa, pg. 819, 77)

i think that u are confused by the phrase or u dont understand the hadith. The Prophet said ,"By Allah, even if I am an Apostle of Allah, yet I do not know what Allah will do to me."

i will simplified this for u, will u know that what will happen to u in future,or when will u die, heaven or hell.is ur sin forgiven? in judgement day will u know how u will score? u dunnoe what god will do to u rite even we pray many times a day will u know if god accept or reject ur prayers

good deeds are not enough,we must pray hard and seek forgiveness from Allah, that is why good deeds doesn't mean u go to heaven.
we dun pray for muhammad salvation.,we pray directly to ALLAH.

and i will like to ask the christian, if jesus is the son of god who is the father? and if the priests can forgive a christian who will forgive the priests? to some people in the answer of this questionare pls mind ur language.

Thank you for sharing your ignorance with us.

"A little knowledge...."

Muslims pray 5 times a day, not 7.

We pray for blessings on Prophet Muhammed (p) AND Prophet Abraham (p) atleast 17 times a day.

The point of the Hadith is that God is the Ultimate Power, that He decides what He wants. but He is not unjust. He will not let your good deeds go astray, as long as you do not associate partners to him.

Are you sure of your own salvation Lee? Seems like this question was posed more out of mischeif than any real quest for truth. May God guide you. Peace bro.

Nice answer Aziz. Even though I have been a spiritualist for many years, and seen and heard some pretty amazing things, I am only 90 -95% sure that you go to another realm when you pass over. We cannot and never will be allowed to prove this 100%, for this will remove faith and free will.
We are all responsible for our own actions and to live life down here, just for the reward we know 100% that we will get after we pass, negates the point of the lessons we have been sent down here to learn.
Far better to apply the lessons, not totally sure that we will be rewarded, for that shows that you are doing it at least in part for altruistic reasons.

I think he ment the way that allah will reward him in heaven
not the fact that "wether he will be rewarded or not"
he did not have doubts for his salvation but he did not know "how" will God reward him.

or maybe he was emphesizing in the fact that we have free will
and we should be very carefull with it till we die, and always know that even if we become so much sprituallly advanced , there is still a posibility that we make mistakes, and in this world we shoudlnt be so proud ,and feel so secure about not doing sins, and we should know that until we are alive we are in "test environment" and we should always be carefull for the devils temptations.

when a man dies, and he didn't accept and serve God in christ jesus, the mercy of God wouldn't work for him again, that's why, no matter how a person is bad now, if he accept jesus and repent, remember repentance does not come before accepting jesus, it would amount to religion; on mohammad, why should a whole prophet, although he has no single prophecy even in the quran, to credit a prophet, be in doubt if he will be give according to muslims apologist'' a reward. muslim, the truth is that they have tp think again.

I'm a Deist. But what I understand, the same applies to Christianity. God's mercy is the reason why people go to heaven, not 'only' their good deeds. Without his mercy and justice all would be condmned to hell.

If you go by just one Hadith, you are missing a lot of information. He said this so that the common person will realize each person is responsible for his own salvation.

it is more of a "what heaven will do to me" as Allah, Jesus, Mother Mary, Buddha etc are under the heaven's rule.

but Allah, Jesus, Mother Mary, Buddha etc coordinate and help one another to watch over us.

you stupid, this hadith means that prophet Muhammad (pbuh) is so humble that he can't say "of course i am going to heaven, don't you know", however, there are dozens of hadiths and quran ayas "verses" that indicates that allah promised him the paradise
