Harrumph! It is not nice to assume things about people, specifically that atheists don't like inspirational Christian music. (As in, I am an atheist)

Don't worry, I won't hold it against you.

Though I must say, I prefer the older ones:
- The Hallelujah Chorus (my all time favourite)
- Jesu, Joy Of Man's Desiring
- The 23rd Psalm
- Gaudete (So old it is in Latin)
- Hear My Prayer, O Lord.

They are my favourites, though I have heard strange definitions of 'Gospel' before. Usually I just go gospel = Christian/Bible based.

I have 3 favorite songs:

1. Lauryn Hill - His Eye Is On the Sparrow
I love Lauryn's voice, but this song is so inspirational because as it says, "His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me." If God takes care of animals as small as the sparrow, then I know he takes care of me, who was made in His likeness.

2. Kirk Franklin and God's Property - The Precious Lamb of God
Tamela Mann (of Madea's plays fame) sings this with such emotion and feeling that it really gets to me. It's done so well that it really makes you listen and think and just feel and know that He IS God...

3. Brent Jones and the T.P. Mobb feat. Coko of SWV - Midnite
This song just reminds me that I should seek God in good times and bad, not just when I need help, or when everything is peachy. It's sung so beautifully though and in just simple English...it's really hard to describe, but it just hits me right in the heart.

Most would not think of this as a "gospel song," but "Let it Be" by the Beatles is one that I sing in my mind to go to sleep at night. When problems and stupid things go through my mind, "Let it Be" is the greatest thing I can do. There is nothing we can do to make things right, only our Lord can make things right. "Let it Be" and your mind will be free and our Lord will do the will of our Lord God for us. Love it!!!

"How Great Thou Art" is my favorite gospel song. It's a traditional classic and has been done by many artists. I can relate to the lyrics and it made a lasting impression on me, and that led to me becomming a Christian.

To be honest I am not a fan of christian music at all. I prefer modern techno/trance music and one thing that upsets me is that no one seems to make christian music in that style. Most of the style is very uplifting.
I would have to say the old hymn " Guide me oh thou great Jehovah " played on the piano isnt too bad though.Makes me remember Gods sovereignty in our lives!
And if any christian artists read this , PULL YOUR FINGER OUT AND CREATE SOME TRANCE?TECHNO STYLE WORSHIP MUSIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE!!!!!

The Sweetest Name
Kirk Franklin
There is so much power in the name of Jesus. When you are at your lowest just call on Him as soon as His name escapes my lips I know everything is going to be alright!
Also, you oughtta go to You Tube and listen to Fantasia's rendition of "Pass Me Not" from her lifetime movie "Life is Not a Fairytale" it is very moving.

I doubt it. human beings pay attention to tragic or undesirable information on television or radio or study it on the internet or gossip inadvertenly or purposefully so. existence occurs with its ebbs and flows. So the international places out many times undesirable music yet there is powerful music like diamonds interior the tough. easily we are in a position to take exhilaration in those songs. yet does that recommend we would desire to take heed to all music to pay attention that one solid music? No. the international will let us know that. For me listening to music uncomplicated experience. i like opera, jazz, classical music or cultural music. there are youngsters songs and as one mentioned patriotic songs till now the sport or on national holiday journeys. Seasonal songs that fill peoples souls with happiness and exhilaration. interior the top inspite of the undeniable fact that it truly is what one is taught in church that would desire to count the main. in the journey that your church says to no longer then do no longer do it. in the journey that your church says no longer something approximately it then curiously suitable. maximum folk in this occasion besides the scriptures use their uncomplicated experience. For me rap or no longer uncomplicated rock and roll basically does not make experience to me so i do no longer pay attention to. yet their are different Christians that do. the thin is that one while uncovered to music there is an recommendations-set and custom tied with it. Christina music might desire to have its very own different sound that the international while they pay attention it is conscious it truly is of God. lamentably in on the instant's society as our custom maintains on its ethical downslide what grew to become into unacceptable in previous time is appropriate now and the international won't be in a position to tell the adaptation between Christian or secular music different than the words. i think that grew to become into the only way the devil detect a compromise for Christian music to no longer be so stated or unique. something to think of approximately yet like I mentioned what church instruct? stick to their doctrine. If the church helps you and your loved ones improve interior the Lord then try this. Later.

I love 'Awesome God" by Joni Lamb and the Daystar orchestra. You should get it. Just google the name...

I want to get up and raise myself and praise God for all I am worth when I hear it.

'Are you ready? and 'Signs' ..by Creed are also very moving. I favor soft rock...

Those give me power...

I also favor 'A Victory Song'..from the Jehovah's Witnesses.

That one gives me confidence..

'Jesus take the Wheel'..is also sweetly appropriate.
