the place has no food or water but the two of them has brought something for themselves. the thirsty man have food to share with the hungry woman and the hungry woman has a bottled water to share with the thirsty man. so they'll share together what they've got. it's only the place that has no food and water. you didn't say that they don't got anything with them. hehe. just a thought
