do you really believe he LITERALLY thinks that. or do you just take that as a compliement. surely, he can't literally think you are THE most beautiful, right?

Well, surely someone has to be the judge and someone has to actually BE the most beautiful girl in the world...
I'd want to know why he thought he was quallified to be the judge, how he managed to get around to judging every girl in the world and what his criteria were, and why he wanted to look at other girls, and why he wanted to smarm his way around me, and if he was likely to change his mind if I put on weight........
But I'm a suspicious wench by nature and not inclined to believe anything someone tells me unless they can back it up...

Beauty isn't only about looks. It's about what's inside too. My husband says I'm the most beautiful woman in the world to him and I tell him he's the best looking to me. I've seen lots of good looking guys, but to me because of the love I feel for my husband that makes him the best looking man in the world to me. I don't know if he really means it on his part or not, but what's wrong with just letting him say it to me and not worrying if he means it literally or not. Just be glad that he tells you sweet things like that, cause I've been in relationships that they don't even try to make you feel good. Just enjoy it.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and when a man loves a woman inside and out, and he sees her beauty radiate from within, he may truly believe she is the most beautiful woman in the world to him. You have obviously never truly been in love, maybe one day you will understand. Take care : )

I think people can say that and mean it (at the moment) maybe because that person has warmed their heart and they are feeling extra loving. For the moment, that could be literal.

Do take it as a complement or just a sweet of him to say. After all it is a nice words regardless of it is a true meaning or not. Just don't take it so seriously.

He really might think that you are... but if he's saying it all the time, be careful.. pretty words are like glittery jewels... given to free a partners guilty consious... and if you are having to ask this question, then you already have reason to doubt!
