I met my first love over 5 years ago and it took this long to get over him. Sure, he is still in my heart but I wish it didn't take so long. I still dream about him and it is annoying. I still freak out a bit if I see him. Argh. How do you make it just all go away! Anyone have the same type of thing happen to them?

I am with the most beautiful guy now....its been over a year. But I want my ex out of my head. I would and will not ever get back with him so why does he still affect me? I feel so alone in this.

It took me a few years to get over my first love. But that is because we didn't cut off contact completely. And it doesn't sound like you and your ex did either. As hard as it is, u have to completely cut off all forms of communication, and I promise you will get over him. It will take some time, but once you find another guy, you will wonder why it took you so long.

Oh, it's happened to me, and the only cure is TIME and distraction. Time heals old hurts, and distraction helps you to think of other things. This person must have made a significant impact on you to be thinking of him five years after the fact. I wish you luck.

my first crush and only crush was in middle school , i still think about her, its been a few years now, about 5 to be exact, barely see her the last time was a few months ago, but im over it long ago

I met my first love 3years ago and i'm still trying to get over him unfortunately, it's so hard tho! and ppl say "just forget about him" yeah, easier said than done. I actually hate bumping into him b/c it makes me like him just as much all over again.

Ur " SUBCONSCIOUS" still have feeling for ur eX ! Somewhere deep inside u & hidden, still loves ur eX. Get in touch with ur deeper feeling & try to sort them out, or u will carry ur subconscious for a long time.
I suggest to meet ur eX & let ur feeling leads. Ur heart might beat faster than u think for him, than for ur new bf.
