If your pet is not spayed then it will go into "heat" I believe this is every 6 months or so (not sure on that). It can get messy, epsecially if the dog has long fur. They do sell doggie pads/underwear, but if your not planning on breeding her (which if your not a qualified breeder really shouldn't do) then it would be best to have her fixed. This will also spare you the problem of having male dogs trying to get to her all the time, and will also help keep her from wanting to wander to find a mate.

No but if you don't actually look it would appear that way. I watched my puppies being born and it was kinda weird because that is where I thought they came from till my mom told me that wasn't true.
