Thats actually not abnormal. Some people get full red in the face, others just have their noses tunr red. It's the physical description of somone who is bibulous. I think it has to do with the capilaries in the face trying to cool it dowm, but I may be wrong.

It is a normal reaction for many people though it is often not the complete face. It the same as a flush or blush when the capillaries expand and become visable. Another part to it is a sense of heat though some people don't notice it. Long term indulgence can cause it to be permanent on the cheeks, nose and occasionally the ears Ala W. C. Fields.

If she is Asian, which I am assuming she is because of her name, that is not unusual.

Asian people lack an enzyme that keeps skin from turning red when there is a lot of alcohol in their system. And there is nothing they can do to change it. Some Asians, however, don't have that problem. My friend Gene, for instance, does not turn red, because he doesn't lack the enzyme, for whatever reason.

If she is of Asian desent; she has an allergy to something in the forms of alcohol she's drinking.

I have Vietnamese friends who are allergic to the hops and yeast in Beer...and they turn red, too. She needs to QUIT drinking....

This is normal really and it is the blood vessels getting big from the alcohol.

'Fraid to tell her, she's allergic to alcohol...probably turns red after one drink, and not only when she's "drunk"...
