I'd have to say that is false. We had families of myna birds living in the trees outside my house in Hawaii. We would go fishing and catch some pretty large fish, take them home and clean them in the backyard....lots of blood and gore everywhere with myna birds flying, swooping and sitting in the middle of it all.
None of them died, at least not right away, from seeing all that blood. Since the myna population didn't decline in the next few days after the fish cleaning I'd have to again say no it didn't do anything to them.
