He died a very painful death, just for us. We are His brothers and sisters. He died on the cross and took upon himself the sins of the world. He taught us to turn the other cheek and dispersed with an eye for an eye concept. When we sin if we ask for forgiveness and pray to God in the name of His son Jesus and repent, never to commit that sin again we can be forgiven.

We should repent not to sin again and I believe we need to forgive our self and we will feel peace within our self.

I'm sorry, but how do so many people worship Jesus, when it was GOD who created us and everything we have.

Jesus (according you your religion) basically asked for death, 'died for your sins' which is suicide. Here's living in hell with the best of them!

I'm not saying you're a bad person, or your religion is bad, it's just that I grew up with this religion and I was the first to back out of it. I was 8 years old and I told my family; this is bull, I'm not going to church anymore. After that they slowly stopped going. My cousin is Buddhist and i'm learning about Islam.

God gave him the title Lord because of his obedience to the will of God even to the point of death on the cross. Mind you in those times death at the cross is the most humiliating death to have & Christ sucked it all & more....because of his love to mankind & his submission to God's authority. "Not my will be done but your's as it in heaven...."
