Beef cattle go straight for slaughter from the farm,fattening cattle go to another farm to be fattened.

beef cattle by name are slaughter cattle, for there meat( Hereford, Limousin, Angus, Beefmaster, Braford, Texon) just to name a few. Dairy cattle are for there milk( Jersey, Holstein). cattle for fattening are cows that are skinny. They are sold by weight! Skinny cow now, fat cow later, make money. no difference farmers try to fatten beef cattle as much as possible before sale to make the most money...u may be asking the difference between beef and dairy cattle which is significant

Nothing, they are all suffering torture and pain, being pumped full of chemicals which are unfit for human consumption and yet the practise continues.
