because people are stupid and paranoid, just like they act like mental problems are 'catching'. I guess it's kind of a survival trait, until about 100 years ago, nobody could tell what was contagious and what wasn't, because nobody knew about microbs. so it was easiest and safest to act as tho EVERYTHING could be caught. it's just taking a freaking LONG time for the human race to grow out of that.
I'm sorry to hear you're sick and that people are jerks to you, I know it's unfair. I wish you luck and blessings as you recover.

Because people are idiots and what they don't know anything about they are afraid of. People are scared of what they don't understand so that's why when you meet someone new and inform them of what you have they get freaked out and turn you away.
That's how sad people are, it's a good example of lack of understanding and knowledge.

Not everyone is that ignorant. If they are scared it is because they are uneducated about what the disease is. So you do not hesitate to educate them. You hang tough kiddo.

People are afraid of dying and being close to death.
We are taught to wash germs away and to avoid them.
It's hard not to be afraid of someone who is sick. But awareness and education make a big difference.

Poor education and trouble-making chain letters that talk about catching diseases from toenail clippings!
People are gullible and it's hard to shake that sometimes.

Because they do not know any better. I know its frustrating and i know you feel really indignant, but you will have to be a little more understanding. If you were in their shoes you might think the same thing. Peace!

Don't take it personally, many people are uneducated and ignorant. The important people, who matter, will research your diagnosis, and it won't get in the way of those relationships.
