Id say bury the cat & either get rid of the dog or not depends on your feelings about this situation & the aggressivness of the dog....as for the mental trauma of this Id ahve to say this is nature animals kill each other all the time try not to let it stress you out too bad

my ex husband had 2 dogs that killed cats together and i didn't want to stand for it any longer so i had him beat the dogs a bit with their dead bodies and believe it or not it cured them ...cats could sleep on thier backs in the sun after that

Call the humane society to pick up the cat, and either keep the og, or get rid of it. It all depends on how you feel really.
