God and Jesus are one. Jesus said, I and my father are one. Are you, you? Are you your word? Are you your spirit? Same as with God.
We were made in His image.
Jesus is the word of God made flesh. Mary was pregnant by God's Holy Spirit. This is how she was still a virgin after giving birth to Jesus. However, since she did have sex with her husband Joseph, and had other children with him, she was no longer a virgin. Jesus was God on earth. While He was here, He showed man how to get back the eternal life that man once had in paradise. Part of Adam and Eve's punishment was to have the way to the tree of life blocked off by an angel. Before this, they already had eternal life, and could eat from it. He told them not to eat from the good and evil tree. To have the knowledge of good and evil and the power to live forever, would have given them the attributes of God Himself, and could not be allowed. Since then, man has been shown how to get that eternal life power back, through Jesus by His dying and rising again in 3 days, as He said. There are places in the bible that speak of God, His word, and His Spirit, but you won't find the word trinity there. Trinity is a man made word, that says that God, His Word, and His Spirit are 3 separate beings and they are not. Jesus is the Son of God, like we all are sons and daughters of God, but Jesus was conceived with Gods Holy Spirit, making His Word, God too.

The term Godhead is Biblical. The term Trinity is not. The Godhead is made up of three distinct personages. They are not one trying to be the other.
