The Koran is replete with dozens of suras urging the murder of Christians, Jews, and most other faiths. Muslims will only be satisfied if we all convert to Islam. I would rather fight to the death, than switch to that homicidal, backward "religion".

Saying that it is only a minority that cause the trouble which results in the majority of the population being branded. Same in any religion/race.

Where I live there is a town near by where the white man is the ethnic minority. Muslims taunt, jeer and abuse Christians on a daily basis - if you tried reporting it to the police they will turn a blind eye if not arrest you for inciting racial hatred.

The minuite a Christian does anything - even name calling they are arrested on racial hatred charges. Alot of people in the district have started voting BNP as they don't agree with any of the other partys policies. One day the sh1t is going to hit the fan around here.

It has been building for years now and soon there will be an almighty relese of years of tension and it will have devistating results. Just look at the Oldham riots !

That's the way it is, that's the ways it always has been and that's the way it always will be !

I find your question quite flawed, the vast majority of Muslims just want a peaceful life.

Unfortunately the imposition of Israel on the Arab states and the massive support given to Israel by America is what is really driving the wedge between the two cultures. Also lets not forget the effects of globalisation on the world, any nation which dominates in the way the USA does causes problems. World domination whether by force of arms of economics always causes strife and for some people being taken over by stealth, in the way that multinationals try to introduce their culture into society is unliked.

Please remember many of the Islamic militants are poorly educated and led by religious leaders who hide their political ambitions behind their faith, in the same way that the Vatican and the Church in England did up until the 20th century? Do not forget also that their are divisions between Muslims which in a similar way to the Reformation of central Europe in the 15th/16th century. Consider the fact that more Muslims have been killed in Iraq by other Muslims than by the armies that occupy the country, religion is a route to power and wealth.

Lets not be mistaken here there is power and wealth in leading a terrorist group just look how much money Yassa Arafat left in his will. The core of both faiths is peace and life but, as with any written article in this case Bible or Koran there is always more than one way to interpretate those words. The Koran I am sure does not directly state that you should kill Christians both the Bible and the Koran ask that you spread the word that is all.

its a religious doctrine going back before Christ when wars were fought on through the crusades mainly in far away countries from England, today however its easier for the Muslims to travel worldwide and the problem is due to numbers the Muslims lifestyle is almost forced on most countries( where they are allowed to settle by governments against their own populations opinion) even though they may have left their own countries due to problems there, the lifestyle that created the those problems are recreated in the Western world as they don't tend to change their lifestyle. Also there is a religious background that says there is a competition between Gods chosen leaders to sit on his other side from his son in heaven. This will be the one who earns or recruits most people to the promised land, the Muslims tend to be literal in this fact fighting the good fight and having large families brought up in their chosen religion. This has created the false prophets that most religions warned against, insisting that suicide bombers along with other devastating loss of life is a legitimate part of fighting the good fight but actually acts against the prophets best interests and spoils his chances of being God's chosen one and somewhere it says the taking of a life will cause the perpetrators to be cast aside forever into the world of darkness by God on the judgement day. This is just a basic understanding of how it works and the different worlds that Muslims and Christians live under. Then of course under the guise of minorities Governments along with their business buddies see the Muslims as the the fastest growing trade/profit area and actually give them better conditions and access to money than the ordinary westerner another reason for distrust and hate, when in Britain for instance if you add all the minorities together the ordinary British race is a minority in their own country, again creating hostility as politicians and companies try to enlist their voting power or business by favouring them over locals in everything from Benefits to Mortgages and health, care creating another area of unrest. Then you have programs ITV in particular show from the Bill in whose only story line for the last 6 months or more is racial what do you expect. Stories of racial abuse should be taken off TV then perhaps those who live out their fantasies in true life would be encouraged to leave racism alone, at the moment it looks from the Bills storyline that there is a movement trying to re establish the ordinary British lifestyle that needs help. This I feel is contributing in no small way to encouraging racist attacks as being normal and required. Until all these things which are really the smallest of differences there will be no settling down of differences at all.

I don't agree with the presumption in your question. Some Muslims hate Christians just as some Christians hate Muslims but it is by no means all of them. Within the Christian religion itself, some catholics hate protestants and vice versa. Wherever there are differences in beliefs there will be some hatred.

There is no reason why humans do inhumane things.its just because they can and want to. So instead of questioning why people hate each other,lets try helping people tolerate each other.There is so much hatred in the world, its getting harder to pin point reasons why. you are right than any one there. the answer to your question spring from the fact that moslems in quran believes "there is but one god, and that is allah......and muhammad is his prophet." they say there is but one religion, all others are kaffirs! they say christians blasphem too much as wrong as to call jesus a son of god! they say the christian world is fighting the islamic world to destroy islam and israel is being used in that purpose...reason jews should be destroyed. don't you remember this is currently the famous claim by islamic extremists? All these together makes what you can call the antagonisms between christians and islam. even the current peace is because christians are more civilized than brutal moslems otherwise we would have begun knocking the third world war.
