I am a follower of the Tao (this is pronounce dow) There are many religions, they are real to their followers.

If a religion works for you, then it is your path. If you path requires you to convert me, then you will fail.

All paths lead to Buddah for the Buddist. Christ is the way for the Christians. Etc etc etc.

Islam is a valid religion. It like any other religion has it's fanatics and it's interpretations that are warped to fit some political or social agenda. It is not the religion that is at fault for this, it is it's followers.

If you find you do not believe or have faith in the religion you were raised with you can explore the beliefs of others and follow what to you seems to be the true path.

It is also true that most people when faced with extrodinary hardship or suffering revert to their original religious training.. although why this is true I do not know.

I chose my religion (Taoism/Buddhism) because they are more concerned with the philosophy of living a good life rather than arguing over who's right and who's wrong, or kissing the feet of some god. However, I think all religions are right. God, Allah, they too me are all the same thing. So I don't feel like I have to choose.

I think Jesus and Mohamed (pbuh) both were spreading the word of God, and neither was wrong, and just because the books are different doesn't mean the message isn't the same: that you should be loyal and faithful to your religion and live a pure life.

For the record though, if I were to fall in love with a Muslim man, and he wanted me to convert, I wouldn't have any problem with that, mostly because since I believe it's all the same thing, I wouldn't be betraying my religion.

I'm probably the best person to answer this. I was raised in a non-religious (almost anti-religious) secular home, and just last week at the age of 30, I got baptized at a Catholic church.

Well, I met a girl that was raised Catholic, and I met all of her catholic family and all her Catholic friends. And I noticed something...these people are good people, and very successful, and they alll have one single thing in common: They are all God fearing church goers. I studied them closely. They really honestly live a different kind of life, and view life totally different than my liberal atheist friends and relatives. And no, its not because of the fact that they are much more wealthy than the atheists. In fact, it is apparent to me that it is religion that has helped them to be as successful as they are. I could go into great detail of exactly what I am talking about but that could take quite some time. If you really want to know what I am talking about go find some friends or a mate that is Catholic, and meet their whole family, and go to church or a fish fry or a festival and you'll begin to see what I'm talking about. It's just a better way to live life, and as a former Atheist, I must say from experience that it is very misunderstood by atheists.

I was baptized as an infant and raised a Roman Catholic, but I don't follow any religion now.
I can't say that I am sorry that I didn't have a choice, but I can say that I don't really think it matters.
Those who 'search for God' don't need religion, and those who are not searching will never find God no matter what religion they choose.
I think that, in the end, God will always be there, no matter what we do in the meantime, so why worry about others?
Let each soul walk its own path

I am an Occultist. As such I make no claim to knowing what religion is the right one. Only that I intend to discover the hidden truth within all paths of life, religious or not.

I choose the truth. I believe the truth is real.

I am a Christian because I was born that way and believe in the Bible and Jesus and God with all my heart. What others believe or choose to believe is not wrong for them, but it is not right for me. This goes vice versa too! I love all humans who are good hearted and do not try and persecute those whom do not believe what they do.

I am weary of Islam because of its history (not terrorism btw)

I chose Christianity because Bible prophecy is so specific and has been so specifically fulfilled. For more check out this site.

What Religion? I didn't choose any religion, and I don't plan on it. Maybe we can all kill each other in the name of Jesus, or Muhammed, or whatever. Screw Religion.

I chose my religion because it makes sense to me. Shoving my religion in other people's faces is very looked down on in my religion. How about yours?
